First Responders (E.M.S.’s)

The Lee Township First Responder unit officially went in to operation on August 1, 1995.
It is currently staffed 24 hours a day by
trained volunteers. These
volunteers are required to maintain all certifications and be licensed by the
state of
Michigan
. First
Responders are dispatched through
the 911
dispatch center of Allegan. They
are the first on the scene to accidents, medical situations and to assist the
Lee Township Fire Department. First
Responders provide services and treatment while awaiting the transporting
unit’s arrival.
AMR
(American Medical Response) is
Lee
Township
’s
contracted life support covering unit. They have available a year-long
round-the-clock ambulance protection plan called Ambu-Care for just $39.00.
